Can't Sleep?

I don't know what's going on these days but I keep bumping into people that are having problems sleeping at night. People are even putting it in their Facebook status the fact that they can't sleep at night...but again, what they don't put on their Facebook status or twitter right?
So here are some quick things I could think of that will help you get a better sleep at night..Aside from all the emotional reasons that you may be dealing with of course.
1) Try to avoid any type of caffeine be after lunch time for obvious reasons.
2) Avoid any foods that contains sugar after lunch.
3) Try to have a notebook right next to your bed. Before you go to sleep, try to write a to do list for the next day so you're not laying down thinking what you need to do or what you need to remember.
4)Try to change your workouts for the morning instead of before bedtime.
5)If you don't exercise, this is the time to start. You might need to burn that extra energy.
6) Avoid spicy foods and tomato-based dishes, they can cause heartburn.
7) Eat a light meal before bedtime. Eating a large meal right before bedtime, or going to bed hungry can make sleep difficult.
8) Limit the amount of all fluids before bedtime. Not only can drinking too much of anything make you feel bloated, it can cause you to wake up to use the bathroom.
9) Use your bed just to sleep. don't read, do homework etc on your bed. Teach your body that every time you lay down is to sleep, and your body will respond.
Hope these tips give you a good night sleep.
